Training Camp

Ok, so it is taking me a little longer than expected to post pictures from St Louis and the reunion. I have been using Hubby-kun's Mac to edit and post, so I am still learning how to do that. They are coming though!

Can anyone else believe that it is already almost July?! This year has certainly passed quickly. Hopefully, I will have things, other than the dogs, to post about this summer. I have been leaving both the dogs in their crates most of the day to try and get Jasper used to it. He doesn't seem to bark as much anymore, but now the problem is trying to get him to stop using the bathroom every five minutes. I do love him, but he is proving to be quite stubborn. We have never had this much trouble training a dog before!

Three-legged Twins

Whew.. that was one busy weekend. It was one fun weekend. It was one hot weekend. Not just hot, but muggy. Sticky. Just all-around gross. I reckon we have been living in California too long. I completely forgot what those summers are like.

Now I have laundry to do, dishes to put away, and other post-vacation chores to get done. Don't worry, there will be plenty of photos to follow in the next few days. For now, here is a little teaser of the reunion fun. Hubby-kun and Brother in action during the three-legged race:

Greetings, From St. Louis..

So, we are currently in St. Louis for the weekend. Man, I forgot what hot, humid summers are like. The stickiness just kinda hits you as soon as you walk outside. Its gonna be a packed weekend.. hopefully there will be blog worthy stories and pictures to post.

Reason #103 Why I Love My Husband..

Hubby-kun quite certainly earned some brownie points today. I have been drooling over some new lenses for the past, oh couple of months now. I am such a cheap-o and can never break down and actually buy one. On their lunch break, Hubby-kun and Brother dropped by a camera store and picked up this tiny beauty. It isn't an incredibly expensive lens, but my heart still stopped for a few seconds after he told me he bought it. The chest pains quickly stopped the second I laid my eyes on it and began to play around. Oohh, I am in love!

Prince Jaspian..

Those pictures have nothing to do with anything. I posted similar pictures of Pumpkin a while back, so I decided to do the same thing with Jasper. In other Jasper-related news.. we are making quite a few strides with the house training and not barking in the crate. I'm almost positive I am speaking too soon though. Ask me tomorrow and I will probably have cleaned up a dozen or two messes inside before lunch.

This weekend, we have been getting a lot of last minute trip stuff done. We finally found somewhere to board the pups while we are away and got the hotel booked. And then on Thursday we are off to St. Louis for the weekend. Just a little family reunion weekend getaway. (By the way.. any of the Harlands at the reunion, be sure to break out the camera for the next competition. Theme: St. Louis)

*In case you are wondering, Hubby-kun came up with that nickname for Jasper.

I know most of my friends will enjoy this blast from the past. In case you ever wondered what happened to Zack Morris.. well, the mystery has been answered.

Bath Time

So, last week Hubby-kun gave Jasper his first bath since he has come to live with us. He wasn't exactly a fan, but it wasn't too terrible either. I thought these pictures were hilarious. Just look at the resignation in Jasper's eyes. Pumpkin had her turn afterward. We had to team lift her into the tub because she was serious about not going in, but once the bath started I think she relaxed.

The dogs have adjusted pretty well to each other. I'm so glad we got another dog, because I really think it has made Pumpkin into a much happier, and mellow girlie. Although, Jasper is such a scaredy cat. Everything scares him. Seriously. Everything. Cars, people, anything with wheels (skateboards, bikes, scooters), riding in the car. Hopefully, he will get a little braver with age.

She Lives!

Apparently, the battery in the explorer was completely dead. Hubby-kun got it replaced last night and is going to drive it to work today, so we will see how it goes.

My Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Can I just say how incredibly relieved I am that this day is almost over? It was one of those days where nothing seems to go your way. Ugh.. I started to write an entire post, but decided to just make a list instead, after having to respell every other word. Looks like my bed is calling my name.

• Jasper puked in the car on the way to a friend's house.
• Jasper barked non stop while babysitting at friend's house.
• Potty training 2 year old boy + me = FAIL
• Had to jump our car because the battery was dead.
• Had to call Brother for a 2nd jump a couple of minutes later.
• 2nd jump = FAIL
• An accident blocked the way home, so we had to make u-turn and go other direction.

*Edit - While writing this post, Hubby-kun went to get the mail and a refund check arrived! So, I reckon my terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day ended being just a terrible, horrible, no good, not so bad day.

*Also.. a couple of pepople have asked if I have gotten my hair cut. I did, about a month ago but just haven't posted any pictures. I will try to remedy that folks!
